We Need a Churchill, not a Chamberlain

 

I'm sure most of you are already praying for Israel. I've selected a few of the crafted prayers for Israel that I released some time ago, and put them below. I felt the Lord prompt this idea in me, that I posted on social media on Friday night:

"During wartime, you want a Churchill, not a Chamberlain. (Even if the war is ideological)"

Terror and vial carnage were being unleashed in Israel at that same moment.

Do you know that “Hamas” (חָמָס) is a Hebrew word that means “violence” and that it is found in the Bible 60 times? 

 (Although the name of the terrorist organization is an Arabic acronym that means something else, I don't believe this is an accident or at all coincidental).

 Consider these passages, and pray Psalm 140 with me over Israel:

Ex. 23:1 “You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious [(חָמָס)/violent] witness.”

Psalm 7:16 “ His trouble shall return upon his own head, And his violent dealing [(חָמָס)] shall come down on his own crown.”

It is also the word used that God uses to describe how people were in the days of Noah, where the whole Earth was filled with violence (חָמָס). (Gen. 6:11-13; also consider Matt. 24:37-39).

Psalm 140

1 Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent (חָמָס)men,

2 who plan evil things in their heart and stir up wars continually.

3 They make their tongue sharp as a serpent's, and under their lips is the venom of asps. Selah

4 Guard me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent (חָמָס)men, who have planned to trip up my feet.

5 The arrogant have hidden a trap for me, and with cords they have spread a net; beside the way they have set snares for me. Selah

6 I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord!

7 O Lord, my Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.

8 Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further their evil plot, or they will be exalted! Selah

9 As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their lips overwhelm them!

10 Let burning coals fall upon them! Let them be cast into fire, into miry pits, no more to rise!

11 Let not the slanderer be established in the land; let evil hunt down the violent (חָמָס) man speedily!

12 I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy.

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name; the upright shall dwell in your presence.

At the time that I posted that Chamberlain/Churchill word, I felt like the word to me was more toward what has been going on in political and social realms in the United States, but also in the Church. It just shows how what is happening in Israel is a sign/symbol to us of what is happening in other realms.

I believe in this hour, we have been at war against an incredible evil (that most underestimate its cruelty and potential) on multiple fronts, but many in the political and Church realm have simply opted for “Chamberlains” to lead us – those who are soft toward nefarious, vile, and destructive organizations and ideologies. These are leaders who are looking to maintain a “clean” image and go down in history as “peace makers” – using appeasement and a more conciliatory approach with their opponents. They try to buy time and give concessions while celebrating impotent, meaningless treaties to wicked rulers (like Hitler), who have no real intent of ever making peace, but whose only goal is to steal, kill, and destroy everything good and to control the world. I would include among these – the woke agenda, the radical liberal left, the BDS/anti-Israel movement, the globalist agenda, and everything trying to remove Jesus/Christians from places of influence in every area of culture. We even see false (חָמָס) witnesses rising up against truth and transparency in our courts. The Church has tolerated spirit of Jezebel and given her place (who looked for worthless, “hamas” witnesses to bring a false capital punishment judgment against Naboth) - Rev. 2:20. Make no mistake, this spirit seeks to displace/sideline the prophetic voice, and proudly proclaims a false kind of peace.

When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Do you come in peace, Jehu?” And he answered, “What peace [can exist] as long as the fornications of your mother Jezebel and her sorceries (witchcraft) are so many?”(2 Kings 9:22)

Churchill is like the prophetic gifting – sometimes blunt and rough, and rarely appreciated until you need someone to deliver you from a truly inhuman and putrid evil. Those under a spell of Jezebel call them "troublers" and "dangerous" people (1 Kings 18:17). (It was the prophetic word of Elijah and actions of Jehu that ousted Jezebel). The prophetic voice is often ignored until the situation becomes too dire and atrocious to deny -- like what is on display now in Israel. People want to bury their heads in the sand and maintain a white-washed image on their public profile and pretend there is “peace”. They'll wash their hands and throw ministers (or nations) under the bus who make them uncomfortable. But eventually, the Lord Himself rises up in defense of all the oppressed people living under the spell of usurped, unauthorized authority (like Jezebel and her daughter Athaliah). (Any kind of codifying or normalizing of immoral behavior has always been done through illegitimate authority and power). But justice is "rolling down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."

My prayer is that the Church will listen to the voice of its Shepherd, and the voice of His servants, the true prophets in this hour, and that authorities which are trying to stifle, smother, censor or parrot/falsely imitate His Voice will be toppled. That the Church will pray, like never before, for Israel and for leadership in the United States to align with Israel truly (not just in word but in deed). May God restore His anointed leaders to their rightful places of honor to rebuild Israel and the Church

Please pray for the rescue (salvation) of all the hostages currently under control of Hamas (this could be 100 or more).

Selected Crafted Prayers:

We pray for the peace/shalom of Jerusalem (Shalom = "peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, and welfare”) (Ps. 122:6). We pray against attacks, conflict, chaos, and unrest in the city. We ask for Your presence to rest upon the city, and to bring harmony among all the people, even those who don't know You. When enemies surround Jerusalem, we ask for Zech. 12:8 - “On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD going before them.”

We declare all of your promises for Israel and the Jewish people are “yes and amen” and are for today (1 Cor. 1:20). We pray that You would remember all of Your covenants and promises towards Israel, especially when others rise up against her to swallow her alive. When their wrath is kindled against her, the waters will not overwhelm her. God will not give her as a prey to their teeth (Psalm 124). Show Your loving kindness to Your people Israel and keep them as the apple of Your eye. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress them, from their deadly enemies who surround them (Psalm 17, 7-9). Fulfill all that you promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to your servant David and to us through the whole counsel of Your Word.

We bless the media inside and outside of Israel to be full of Your truth and perspective over them. Cause media sources and outlets to be raised up which overwhelm propaganda and lies perpetuated by Israel's enemies. Let Your narrative reign supreme in the minds and hearts of all the earth! Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. Let them be as grass upon the housetops, which wither before it grows up (Psalm 129:5-5). Lord, deal justly and swiftly with Your enemies. We rebuke every tongue that rises up in judgement (Isaiah 54:17).

We bind up and cast down the powers, propaganda and lies of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign (BDS) and similar efforts. Lord, express Your glory and power over Israel and fight on their behalf against every type of warfare – physical, psychological, financial, and others. Confound and disrupt the protests, demonstrations, and plans against Israel and Jewish people. We declare Isaiah 5:17 - “no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.”

We pray for protection for Israel as a nation-state and for Jewish people, specifically. Cause Israel to trust in You, not in chariots and horses, or their military might (Zechariah 4:6).We condemn antisemitism and bind the demonic forces which seek to persecute, kill, or annihilate God's People, the Jews. Israel is forever! Guide the Israeli Defense Forces to intercept and annihilate every plan, plot, and intent of their enemies to bring death, theft, and destruction in the land. Stop and disarm every suicide bomber. We take power over all the power of the enemy and unleash the host of heaven to raise up a banner of victory: "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).

We pray for divinely orchestrated Healing all across the land of Israel and the Jewish people – in their bodies, minds, souls, and spirits. We pray for the actualization of Isaiah 53: “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows...But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” and Matt. 8:17: “"He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases." Heal them of the generational trauma and release them from generational curses and demonic oppression. As the Body of Yeshua walks in the Land of Israel again, may it express the works of Yeshua and “greater works” (John 14:12). Deliver them from demons and the traditions of men, which are not according to Your Word or your Spirit. Bring complete wholeness (shalom) for all of them.
