Core Values

Core Values

Unending Love – God's love endures forever (Ps. 136), is unquenchable (Song of Songs 8:7), and nothing can separate us from His love (Rom. 8:39). Love is valued more than even faith and hope (1 Cor. 13:13), more than personal preference or culture (1 Cor. 9:19; Rom. 14:21). Our love for Him and others is dependent upon His initial love for us (1 John 4:19), as a by-product of Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22), and not our own effort. We depend upon Him to create and manifest His genuine, sincere (Rom. 12:9), unpretentious love through us for all people, even our enemies (John 3:16; Matt. 5:44) but especially the Body of Christ (Gal. 6:10). We seek to explore the unending boundaries of His love, not presuming to think to have understood it or experienced it fully (Eph. 3:17-18).  We seek to be motivated and compelled by love (2 Cor. 5:14), rather than guilt, fear, or control. His perfect love casts out all fear, even a fear of judgment (1 John 4:17-18). Because of His love for us, we love and value others, seeking pure and natural, physical, and verbal affections that culturally relate this divine caring-ness within their appropriate context (Rom. 16:16; 2 Tim. 3:3). We love bravely, not erring on the side of aloofness, coldness, or unsympathetic-ness (Rom. 12:15). In love, we open our hearts (2 Cor. 7:2) and homes (1 Peter 4:8-9) to each other and those in need. We seek to love deeply (1 Peter 4:8), recognizing that the greatest love is what He showed us – laying down one's life for others (John 15:13).

Unity – unless a church or group seeks to undermine a key tenant of the faith (Virgin Birth,
Deity of Christ/Humanity of Christ, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ for atonement of sins
Inspiration of Scripture, Second Coming of Christ), we will seek to live in harmony with that church and the believers in it, even if it is outside of our denomination. A railing, isolationist, separatist is yearning toward sinful desires (Prov. 18:1), not righteousness or sound judgment. We will “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Eph. 4:3) with every Christian, since they are part of the Universal (“catholic”) Church and the Body of Christ: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (v. 4-6). There is One Body (1 Cor. 12:12-13). We agree with and pray with Jesus that every single believer would be one (John 17:21).

Simplicity - We will seek to reach the people we are called to reach with the Gospel. We will teach and instruct in the most effective way possible: in their native vernacular and cultural understanding, with the best tools God has given us, and the most relevant stories or examples we can find to explain the simplicity of the Good News of Jesus. “Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews...To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.” (1 Cor. 9:19-23)

Sonship and Friendship with Abba Father – Since Jesus has called us friends and no longer slaves (John 15:15; Gal. 4:7; Rom. 8:15), and since we are no longer under condemnation (Romans 8:1) or wrath (1 Thess. 5:9), and we are completely forgiven (1 John 1:9), we can come boldly to His throne (Hebrews 4:16), and enter into full communion and fellowship with the Father freely (1 John 1:3), without fear or timidity (2 Tim. 1:7), or having a “slave mentality”. We are his sons and daughters (1 John 3:1), and have been given the full rights as being His family (Gal. 4:1-7) and eternal members of His Church. God loves us and is for us (Rom. 8:31); we are accepted (Eph. 1:6), no longer rejected (John 6:37), and no one is able to snatch us out of His hand (John 10:28).  We are qualified (Col. 1:12), called, ordained, chosen (John 15:15-16), and anointed (2 Cor. 1:21-22).  He will never abandon, leave, or forsake us (Heb. 13:5). No decision or judgment of people can defraud us or rob of this privilege. We will resist a fear of man, a spirit of condemnation, the commandments and tradition of men (Matt. 15:9), and lies of the enemy which attempt to undermine our identity, freedom, and priviledge as children of God (James 4:7) or attempt to bring us under a yoke of bondage (Gal. 5:1).

Individual Soul Liberty - We value freedom of conscience before God and liberty in areas where the Scriptures are unclear (2 Cor. 3:17). We prioritize the models of Scripture and godly people within its records ABOVE tradition, preference, habit, routine, rules of men, or any other constraining device (Romans 14). Where there is no model or it is unclear, we value individual soul liberty and conscience. This is especially true regarding music, art, expression in worship, alcohol, dietary preferences, holiday observances, clothing/dress, or politics. We believe that creativity is part of the imago dei, and that new expressions, including contemporary music (Ps. 149:1), are part of mankind's Biblical mandate to “be fruitful” and “replenish the earth” (Gen. 1:28). Expression in worship, including dance (Ps. 150:4a), prostration (Ps. 95:6), raising hands (Ps. 134:2), clapping (Ps. 47:1a), shouting (Ps. 47:1b), joy (Ps. 32:110) and variety in instrumental sounds and percussion (Ps. 150:4b) are all Biblical and should not be quenched. “Worldliness” is constrained to what the Scripture explicitly says: the lust of the sinful nature, the lust of the eyes (covetousness), and the pride of life. (1 John 2:16).   It is not to be confused to things which have the “appearance” of evil, fashionable preferences, or something which the Bible does not explicitly say is “evil”.

Humility – We value approaching Him and His Word humbly, prayerfully, and carefully, removing assumptions, pre-conceived notions, and avoiding becoming too dogmatic quickly, since the Scriptures can be mishandled (2 Cor. 4:2), illegally nullified (Mark 7:13), and even used by the enemy (Luke 4). God is the Author of the Bible, He is the supreme authority for all belief, life, and ministry. Intimacy with God is a necessary higher priority than the words of Scripture and how people handle them (John 5:39-40). His interpretation of the Bible is the final authority in all things, since people are capable of rendering something different than what the Author intended. Merely interpreting the Bible in a grammatical, historical method will not guarantee a correct interpretation of the Bible. This takes the work of Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20; 1 Cor 2:14). So we defer to Him as a real Person, not merely our own understanding of Him or His Word (Prov. 3:5). God can do anything, with God all things are possible (Matt.19:26),  and our greatest thoughts and imaginations about His goodness and power are not complete enough to reach the possibilities and reality of His love and power (Ps. 103:11). He is able to do more (Eph. 3:20-21) than we have seen, read about, or could possibly imagine (1 Cor. 2:9). We continually ask Him to reveal Himself in greater ways and show us great and mighty things which we don't know (Jer. 33:3).

Jesus is Our Perfect Example – Since we will be judged by God alone, we cast down imaginations and judgments which exalt themselves above the knowledge of Him (2 Cor. 10:5). We will not allow ourselves to come under the judgement of people, fear of man, or even our own judgement (John 8:15; 1 Cor. 4:3). Even if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts (1 John 3:20). No person can take the place of God in our lives as Father (Matt. 23:9), Rabbi/teacher (1 John 2:27), Pastor (1 Peter 2:25), King (1 Tim. 6:15), Prophet (Deut.18:15), High Priest (Heb.4:14), or Apostle (Heb. 3:1), because we are ultimately responsible and accountable to Him alone. Individually, and as a Church, we are governed by Christ, as the Head and King. We are “dependent” upon God (NOT independent), governed by His Kingdom Church government. The mature believers He has placed as administrators in the Body (Ephesian 4) are subject to His final rule and authority. We do not govern ourselves independently, but submit ourselves to Him completely as Lord and sovereign King in all things in our lives. We value and accept personal responsibility for our own intimacy and relationship with Christ, not relying upon someone else to manage our spiritual growth. Jesus is our perfect example – modeling for us and discipling us into the kind of life we are all called to live: to do the works that Jesus did and greater things (John 14:12), to teach and minister from a dependency upon Holy Spirit and the Father's voice (John 12:49), as His Body in the earth (1 Cor. 12:27), and as Jesus is, in this world (1 John 4:17).

Fresh Empowerment – We have a Biblical mandate to seek God in our time for divine manifestations of His supernatural power and not merely rely upon traditions (Mark 7:8), academic disciplines (James 1:22), mere human effort (Gal.3:2-5), or routine to replace an intimate relationship with Him (Hab. 3:2). We cannot go back to the “good ol' days” or “the way things were” because to think this way is not wise (Eccl. 7:10), but we must press forward (Phil 3:14), ask, seek, and knock (Matt. 7:7-12) for His wisdom and insight into the days in which we live (1 Chron. 12:32), building upon the wisdom of the past and honoring those who have gone before. We value godliness with power, not just a mere powerless form or show (2 Tim. 3:5) and not just enticing words of people's wisdom, but a demonstration of the Holy Spirit and of power (1 Cor. 2:4; 1 Thess 1:5). We resist rules which have a mere appearance of wisdom, self-imposed worship, false humility, and harsh treatment of the body, but lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence (Col. 2:23). Instead we seek a filling of His Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18) for empowerment (Acts 1:8) to manifest all the fruits and gifts of His Spirit (Gal. 5:22,23; 1 Cor. 12; 1 Cor. 14), to overcome sin and demonic forces (Zech. 4:6), and impart His healing and deliverance (Mark 16:17,18). We are all called to pray for the sick, and leaders are especially instructed to lay hands on the sick and anoint them with oil and pray for their healing (James 5:14; Matt. 10:8). We are called to seek God for healing and His divine protection, power and prosperity in every area of our lives as faithful stewards (3 John 1:2; Ps. 1:3; 1 Cor. 4:2).

Core Values

Everything I need from God I get for FREE.
But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!"

The abundant life is available to me NOW - I don't have to wait for the next church service, special conference, woman or man to pray for me.  I can live in His blessing today - no more delay!"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." - John 10:10

I can hear God and understand the Scriptures and His will for myself.  He has given me every available spiritual tool to understand and do His wil."His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." 2 Peter 1:3

Nothing can keep me from my divine destiny.  Every plan of the enemy will fail."No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me", declares the LORD." Isaiah 54:17.

God will always love me -- no matter what."For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE OF GOD that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom. 8:38,39

Everything is working together for my good, even my past."And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Rom. 8:28

I can walk with Him today.

I can see miracles today.  My life can be a supernatural journey all the time."And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16:17-18 God's forgiveness is complete."There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Rom.8:1

I have a future and a hope."For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jer. 29:11

God can do anything.  "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jer 32:27

Jer 32:38-41
I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. They will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them.  I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.  I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.
