1. We (I) can discover truth on our (my) own. We (I) don't need God's help. <top>

Isaiah 53:6 - We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Prov 3:5,6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

This is a very common myth today, especially in the areas of godless science and philosophy. Human reasoning is set up as an idol to be worshiped. Many people trust themselves and the human reasoning of others more than they trust God. They are the blind leading the blind. Human reason is broken without God and leads people astray. Everyone of us has been like a sheep away from the Lord, our Shepherd. He will lead us in what is true, what is right, and show us right reasoning.

2. God either doesn't exist, doesn't care, or doesn't do anything about the evil in the world; the universe always was (God didn't create it); evolution/science proves there is no God <top>

Psalm 19:1 - The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

1 Tim 3:16 – Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

Job 38:1-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: "Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Psalms 14:1 - The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt , they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.

Jer 9:24 But let him that glories glory in this, that he hath understanding, and knoweth me, that I am Jehovah who exercises loving-kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

2 Peter 3:5-7 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

This myth extends from an earlier myth that people can discover truth on their own, apart from God. This is the very premise of godless science and godless philosophy. Even eastern cultures are not ignorant enough to totally disregard the spiritual realm. The general theory of macro-evolution is an attempt to arrive at the genesis of life apart from God. But God hotly rebukes these scoffers: Were you there? Not only that, but these willfully overlook facts and skew evidence in an attempt to avoid God. The majority of people are not so delusional as to actually believe there is no God (even the demons believe He exists), but they actually lie to others in saying they don't believe there is a God, just to create controversy and argument with Christians. Many myths arrive out of lying in an attempt to end the discussion, not because they actually believe it to be true. This is their defense, but God sees their motives. He is confronting them, demonstrating His justice every day, waiting for their hearts to turn, so they will become His own children.

3. God is cruel; God isn't good <top>

Na 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He know those who trust in Him.

Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

There is much misunderstanding about things which Satan (the thief) does which have been falsely attributed to God. Death, disease, and pain are a result of the works of the devil and what following him does. There would never have been any of these if there was no rebellion against the life of God, His healing, and His peace. Satan has questioned the goodness of God and tried to make popular this myth from the very beginning. The very loss, death, and destruction he brings, he tries to pawn off on God to make Him and His children look bad. When you come to God, you discover Truth and Jesus destroys the works of the devil in your life.

4. Christians hate gays and God does too <top>

John 3:16,17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:19,20 - This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

1 Cor 6:9-11 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Often a false-accusation is a projection of how the accuser actually feels. In other words, those who are living in homosexuality who don't understand the love of God for them actually are the ones who hate God and hate Christians, but they project this hatred unto them and accuse God of hating them and accuse Christians of hating them. Surely there have been those who have claimed to be "Christians" who showed hatred toward people, but this is neither God's heart nor the heart of those who are truly Christ-like. In fact, Christians in the past and today understand what it means to find their true identity through trusting Jesus and be set free from a false identity and sexual bondage. If you do live in homosexuality, God loves you and offers you the power to be free.

5. Jesus was a hippie/peace activist <top>

Matthew 10:34-38 - Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a man's enemies will be the members of his own household. Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Psalm 46:9-10 - He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. Be still, and know that I am God.

While Jesus is in the business of making human conflicts to end, he does not advocate "peace at all costs". He said he came to bring division - between unbelief and faith, between those who oppose Him and those who follow Him. Jesus calls everyone who lives in addictions of any kind to be free from the

slavery you are in and join the revolution against the kingdom of darkness.

6. Christians think women aren't as good or as capable as men <top>

Mark 9:33-35 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked [the disciples], "What were you arguing about on the road?" But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

John 8:36 - If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

Rom 3:23 - For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Eph 5:23-27 - For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

All people stand equally before God in need of His love and forgiveness in their hearts. Jesus came to set people free from being abused and from abusing and from prejudice. God did design a pattern for the home, where the husband is the head. He makes no apologies for this, but He also requires a mandate for the men to love as Christ loved. Capability in the Kingdom of God has everything to do with undeserved favor and humility and has nothing to do with pride and self-effort. Those of you who are interested in a power-struggle over being recognized don't understand that our greatness is not measured in our selfish pride, but in our love and service to others.

7. Jesus didn't necessarily say he was God <top>

John 10:31-33 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God."

Jesus and his followers did not hide the fact that He was God. Some of the Jews tried several times to kill him because of this. Jesus not only is God, He bids you to acknowledge Him and to worship Him.

8. Christians, Jews, and Muslims all believe in the same God <top>

John 3:36 He that believes on the Son hath eternal life; but he that doesn't obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

John 10:30 "I (Jesus) and the Father are One."

John 5:23 That all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

Jesus makes all the difference between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Jesus is deity - the Son of God, and the Messiah (Chosen-anointed One) of Israel. Those who are religious Jews today (not Messianic Jews) do not believe Jesus is the Messiah, nor the Son of God. Muslims also claim that God does not have a son and do not acknowledge Jesus' deity. Those who don't acknowledge Him (the Son) do not acknowledge the Father (God) who sent the Son. Jesus is the only way to the Father (God) and no one will come to God except through Him.

9. If God is forgiving then he won't send people to hell; What about all those people at the ends of the earth? God isn't just if He condemns them. <top>

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

Joh 1:9 There was the true light, even the light which lights every man, coming into the world.

Rom 1:20 - For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

Rom 9:18-23 So then he has mercy on whom he wills, and whom he wills is hardened. You will say then to me, Why does he still find fault? For who resists his will? No but, O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why did You make me like this? Or has not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor? What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted for destruction: and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he before prepared for glory.

John 3:18 - Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Job 40:1-9 And the LORD said to Job: "Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it." Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: "Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be in the right? Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?

Heaven is still a viable option for everyone who is still living, as they trust Jesus to save them from eternal torment. God's Spirit commands respect and reverence for His name, offering hope and forgiveness to everyone who will accept it. The deeper myth that some people are believing here, is that their excuses for not believing will actually matter in the end when they stand before God. They won't. His grace has appeared to all people, lighting everyone coming into the world and the universe manifests His glory, making everyone accountable and without excuse.

10. Miracles don't happen anymore, or if miracles supposedly happened in the Bible, how come they don't happen anymore? <top>

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever. Heb 13:8

Matthew 12:38-40 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you." He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Miracles do happen today. The problem is not with their occurrence, it is with the acknowledgment of them. The Pharisees in Jesus' day also didn't believe He was doing miracles, even though He was doing them right in front of their eyes. A man who had been born blind from birth was cast out of their community, because Jesus healed him, but they thought he was lying. Religious people don't ask to see miracles because they believe that miracles exist; they ask for signs because they don't believe and are just trying to find fault with Jesus and his followers. They only "miracle" that is shown to them is the story that Jesus rose again after 3 days of being dead. Those who do believe and follow Him are well acquainted with His miracles today.

11. What's the point of dying and then going to Heaven? If God were real we would always be in Paradise <top>

Colossians 1:13-14, 21-22 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins...Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.

If you have never known forgiveness and the peace of God, you do not understand how much becoming a Christian really is "heaven on earth". When you believe in Jesus, then you will understand the Kingdom of heaven inside of you. The only reason God is waiting is for you and people like you to believe. He does not want you to perish, but to trust Him and become a powerful sign to release more of "Paradise" into other people.

12. The best part of Heaven is seeing your family and friends <top>

Revelation 21:2-7 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Your family and friends will only be in heaven if they believe(d) in Jesus. Seeing family and friends who did follow Jesus will be a wonderful part of heaven, but there is so much more that is wonderful there. God Himself is the most magnificent part of heaven. His presence is something we experience on earth and will forever in eternity. We hope to see you there too.

13. Jesus was married <top>

2 Corinthians 11:2

I am jealous for you [His Church] with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

Jesus never married a woman on earth, but His "wife" is the collection of all people through time who follow Him.

14. I prayed and didn't get an answer, so God isn't real <top>

Heb 11:6 - Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.

James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Faith is the activation for God's answers. When we believe Him, we receive from Him.

15. The idea of God always seeing you and being with you is creepy (even when I'm in the bathroom?) <top>

"God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." - 1 John 4:16-18

Because some people do not know God and His love and forgiveness, they have an imperfect picture of what He is like (ie. similar to a creepy boyfriend, an abusive father, a tyrannical dictator, an unmerciful judge...). When you experience His love, all fear and misconceptions are broken in His presence. You know that His omniscience is a comfort and reassurance that everything will be okay and there is nothing to fear. You also know that He leads you away from self-destructive actions into peace and confidence.

16. There have been plenty of people who have thought that they were God, Jesus was delusional like them. <top>

John 10:25-30 - Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

This myth was common among some people in Jesus' day. They even said he was demon-possessed. He refuted their false accusations with miracles - powerful displays of the Father's kindness. He is still overcoming these myths today in the same ways.

17. People in power make up gods to keep those under them in line; all religions represent unjust power structures of the past <top>

Jude 10,11 - Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals--these are the very things that destroy them. Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they

have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion.

It is no surprise that Satan, who seeks absolute power, would accuse God of conspiracy. While false religions have represented unjust power structures, Jesus represents the epitome of justice and power - God in the flesh. If you speak against His justice, you are ignorantly and rebelliously speaking against things you do not understand. Like Saul on the road to Damascus, He will humble you, show you how blind you are, open your eyes, change your identity, and lead you into truth to become a proclaimer of His divine government.

18. There are many ways to God <top>

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Matt 7:13,14 - "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. The "many ways" to God are the broad way leading to destruction. Jesus is the only Way to God. There is only one God. He is the only Truth. He is the only Life.

19. I am God <top>

2 Thess 2:3,4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the

son of perdition; Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God,

shewing himself that he is God.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.

When a person claims to be God, they have set themselves up in the temple of God (their human body) to be worshiped as God. They have taken on the spirit of antichrist. Jesus comes and breaks the power of this Spirit and claims His rightful place in everyone's hearts as the only God to be worshiped.

20. I'm too evil (have done too much wrong) for God to forgive me; God won't accept me <top>

1Ti 1:15 Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief

Heb 7:25 Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Jer 31:3 Jehovah appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.

Rom 5:20 And the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly.

John 6:37 All that which the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

God makes is very clear that you are not too far-gone. It is a false humility to say that you are too sinful for God to save you, because Paul was the worst of sinners and God saved him. His kindness is drawing you closer to Himself, and His grace, like a flood, overwhelmingly covers all of your sin. He will in no way cast you out as you come to Him.

21. I don't know if I'm ready to give up this sin and/or fun things <top>

2Co 6:2 (for he saith, At an acceptable time I hearkened unto thee, And in a day of salvation did I succor thee: behold, now is the acceptable time; behold,

now is the day of salvation).

Pro 16:25 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.

Jam 1:15 Then the lust, when it hath conceived, beareth sin: and the sin, when it is fullgrown, bringeth forth death.

Heb 11:25 Choosing rather to share ill treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.

Hebrews 3:15 As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."

Sin, like the proverbial "forbidden fruit" always has a myth attached to it: that it is fun. There are always strings of death attatched - without exception. If you are claim that evil is fun for you, you are lying. You are tormented by your choices, but haven't chosen freedom from them yet. Today is your day to be free. Now is the time to give up death and choose life. Hear His voice and be free.

22. Becoming a Christian means I live a boring life; Heaven is a boring place, like church, where you just sit and pray <top>

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 4:13-14 Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinks of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give

him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.

You aren't really 'living' and don't have "life" without Him who is Life. All that is left for you apart from Jesus is loss, death, emptiness, torment, pain, destruction and loneliness. At God's right hand are pleasures forever, but you will never know until you have tasted and seen how God He truly is. As you

come to Him, you experience all that you've been missing out on.

23. I can just repent at the end of my life for all the bad I'm doing now; I'm just building a "testimony" <top>

Rom 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death.

2Co 1:12 For our glorifying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

2Co 5:10 For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad.

You aren't really 'living' and don't have "life" without Him who is Life. If you claim to be alive while doing evil, you are lying and deceiving yourself. In that state, you don't have a life. A "testimony" is testifying of what God has done in someone's life, not of the wicked things a person has done. God is continually building a testimony of grace in your life when you trust Him and follow Him.

24. People who haven't sinned in the way that I have sinned can't relate to me or what I'm going through <top>

Heb 4:15 For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought : but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groans which cannot be uttered.

Jesus understands exactly how you feel, yet He has never sinned. He can relate to you, not only because He was tempted and tested in every point like you, but because He made you. However, it is a myth to say that a person has to have experienced everything you have in order to help you. He has sent His people to represent Him to you, who can by His Spirit, empathize with your needs and help set you free.

25. The Church is just a bunch of hypocrites; Problems in the lives of Christians and in the politics of the church prove that God isn't real. If He were real, then these things would be perfect. <top>

Matthew 7:1-5 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

1Ti 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.

Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth

1Jo 4:17 Herein is love made perfect with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, even so are we in this world.

1Co 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.

This is a difference between those who call themselves "Christians" and those who are Christ-like. Jesus even said there would be those who falsely claimed to be Christians who would kill others in His name. However, those who are His Church are like Him. The Church is the pillar and ground of the truth. It is the light of the world, a city set on a hill, and the salt of the earth. The Church is the Body of Christ in this world, so when you judge the Church, you are judging Christ. This is another example of projection: many people judge the Church for the speck that is in her eye, while there is a plank in their own eye. They are truly the hypocrites. They want to excuse their own evil ways by pointing fingers at others who are living right by the power of God. God is calling you to throw off your own white-washed shells and be transparent before Him and others, letting Him heal you and set you free.

26. It's only wrong if you get caught <top>

Tit 1:15 To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

1Pe 1:17 And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear.

Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

You will "get caught". God sees all and already knows everything you have done. You will be judged according to everything you have done in this existence on earth. He is mercifully waiting for you to come to Him.

27. I'm not a bad person and haven't done enough to deserve God's punishment <top>

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.

Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is become guilty of all.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom 3:17-19 And the way of peace they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes." Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

The mythical peace is offered by the devil to keep people believing, "I'm okay; you're okay." Pride keeps people from admitting when they are wrong. They defend themselves, point to the supposed "good things" they have done, falsely accuse the One who is judging them, and deny the Truth. But God silences every mouth before Him, bringing them into accountability with Him and His glory, demonstrating His mercy and acquittal for those who turn away from evil, and judgment for those who will not.

28. As long as we're making money/being productive, nothing else matters <top>

Luk 12:16-21 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow my fruits?

And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be? So is he that

lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Jam 5:3 Your gold and your silver are rusted; and their rust shall be for a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have laid up your treasure in the last days.

Luke 3:8a - Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

This myth centers more around how people live their lives, not necessarily what they openly say. All kinds of money is made through deceit, manipulation, and covetousness. God is not interested in this kind of productivity. Production is only beneficial if it is coupled with righteousness that comes from God. He knows the hearts of greedy misers and lovers of money, and has come to set you free, to help you yield good fruit.

29. The end justifies the means <top>

Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

King Saul disobeyed God but tried to cover it up by offering up sacrifices. God calls this rebellion, witchcraft, and idolatry. God searches the motives of everyone's hearts and knows those who are just trying to "get away with" doing evil. He won't be fooled in the end, so it is smarter to be transparent now and let Him decide both the end and the means.
